In game one of the series at Rockford on Friday, the Grizzlies and RiverHawks played the longest game in Gateway Grizzlies franchise history. The game lasted 15 innings (5:16) with the Grizzlies coming out ahead on a Landon Hernandez RBI double in the 15th. The Grizzlies have played 14 innings four times, most recently on August 16, 2009 at Kalamazoo, but never 15 innings.
Mark Brackman was outstanding once again in his start last week. In his start on Saturday at Rockford, he went the distance, but still took the loss as the Grizzlies fell 2-1. Brackman is now 3-1 with an ERA just over two.

Sandy, UT native Ryan Khoury is tearing the cover off the ball and playing well defensively. He went 6-for-12 with two homers in the Rockford series. Khoury has his average up to .329 heading into play on Monday.
The Grizzlies take on the Cornbelters for three and then welcome in the Florence Freedom. These are six BIG divisional games. The Grizzlies are currently 12-9 and three games back in the Frontier League West Division (Southern Illinois 15-6).
